Mark,
Idea: if you
successfully send one of your Twitter followers to Amazon and they rent or buy
the movie, then you should get a cut of that sale. And, in fact, you can do
that by becoming an associate seller on amazon by getting an “aStore.”
Here is the play:
- You sign up at www.amazon.com. (Search for Amazon Associates.) (I’m pretty sure that you will need a credit card for commission checks, etc.)
- You give me the username/password so that I can get into your store and produce specially coded links that enable you to get credit for buyers who rent or buy thanks to your marketing.
- As I compose tweets, etc., I will continue to include links to Amazon, but they will be specially coded to trigger a commission for you.
- You can also generate coded links for the blog posts you now upload every Tuesday.
- You will not make a lot of money at this, but a larger reason is that this conditions your readers/followers to mentally start picturing you as a growing, more serious and expansive brand. Yes, I know, you blush at the suggestion of such things, and that's fine; you blush 'aw shucks' and just let me worry about these things.
| So, for example, if you click this icon and make a purchase, I'll get a commission of the rental or sale. |
Chris
